International Interests

flags-small

My first trip outside of the US as a teenager – a student exchange to Western Europe and the Soviet Union – established a direction for my professional career. With degrees in Spanish (BA, Northern Illinois University), Teaching English as a Second Language (MA, UCLA), and Comparative and International Education (PhD, UCLA), I have grown personally and professionally through diverse international experiences and intercultural exchanges. In 2014, I was appointed to be the Interim Associate Dean of International Education at Pasadena CIty College. While that management position ended and I was back in the classroom for several years, I am now ready to develop new opportunities international education opportunities and pursue new adventures.
